Cumberland Valley Hosted Events


Cumberland Valley Kickoff Classic Cumberland Valley will hold its 6th Annual Kickoff Classic on December 9th & 10th, 2016. Located in the Dome at Cumberland Valley High School, this tournament kicks off a grueling season schedule for teams from around the state. This year’s grappling action will feature wrestlers from Bermudian Springs, Bishop McDevitt, Boil Springs, Cannon Mac, Council Rock, Delaware Valley, Dover, Downingtwn, Easton, Exeter, Manheim Central, Middletown, Milton, Northern, Penn Ridge, Red Land, Shikellamy, Shippensburg, Spring Ford, and Wilson. Because of the depth of these teams CV will also simultaneously host a JV tournament in the Spectator Gym located next to the Dome on Saturday as well. The first whistle blows at 4:30 pm on Friday and at 9:00 am on Saturday. Admission is $10 a day for adults. $5 for 1st-12th grade students. Cash or charge accepted.

Cumberland Valley¬†Winter Duals The CV Winter Duals are another classic example of wrestling CV strong! Never one to shy from competition, Coach Dave Heckard welcomes the tough competitors to the Dome. 2015 will not find our Eagles easing back into their schedule. They will need to be ready to battle with the teams from Boyertown, Erie McDowell, Northampton, and Northern . The new year’s action starts at 9:00 am on Saturday, January 7th, 2016. In addition to Varsity competition we’ve added a Junior High dual. JH teams ready to do battle are Brandywine Heights, Dover, Northern, and Northampton.This event is also dedicated to raising funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer. Our chosen charity is the National Pancreatic Foundation. Admission is $10 adults or $5 1st-12th grade students. Cash or charge accepted.

Cumberland Valley Youth Duals  Our 2nd Annual Youth Duals will be held in two gyms with 16 teams on Saturday, January 28th. The duals are by invite only.

CV Super Trophy Open & Novice Tournament Our novice tournament seeks to give inexperienced first & second year wrestlers & their fans a great learning experience in the mat-filled Dome. The open tournament promises great competition! Champions will win a 36″ Super Trophy.This year’s event will be held on Sunday, January 29th, 2017.
